The Miracle Tree offers a new approach to practical work with the Tree of Life, from a leading author and teacher who has practiced Western Tradition Qabalah for over 50 years, from 1970 to the present day. R.J. Stewart’s highly original book is founded on a simple premise: We are already the Tree of Life.

Written in plain English without exotic terminology, no background in Victorian occultism is necessary to work with this book. The practical exercises and forms, found within, result from years of spiritual exploration and dedicated practice in a hallowed tradition. The word “Qabalah” originally meant an oral wisdom tradition, that took many forms through the centuries, emerging in Jewish, Sufi, Gnostic and esoteric Christian variants. The voice of The Miracle Tree is that of a teacher talking directly with a student or group of students (the readers) without elitism, obscurity, or willful claims to secrecy.

Some techniques originally restricted to a specific sacromagical lineage are described in detail: Withdrawal from Time, The Qabalah of Three Suns,Walking Participation, and Entering the Inner Temple Traditions. These techniques produce rapid and powerful results when the student practices them regularly; they work directly within our consciousness, reaffirming by experience the truth that we are already The Miracle Tree.

Another significant feature of this book is how the author traces the root sources of a group of Tree of Life practices, meditations, and visionary excercises to the medieval period (12th century) in Europe. He demonstrates a verifiable origin for certain practices and texts that predate standard sources often said to be the origins of Qabalah in the Western Esoteric Tradition.
